Podcast: The Flaming Lips live @ Coachella (5.2.04)

This podcast of the Flaming Lips’ show at Coachella 2004 is appearing for three reasons:

1) By most accounts, the Lips’ Dark Side of the Moon New Year’s Eve show was spectacular;

2) My ears can’t get enough of their excellent new album, Embryonic (review here/ Best Albums of 2009 here);

3) Right about now is when I start obsessing over which bands will be playing at Coachella this year.

And while the performance is not a long one–it was delayed due to sound and bubble-inflating issues (just listen), it’s still all rather electrifying (and good enough to help keep me busy until the Coachella rumors begin to swirl), and also notable for closing with a singalong version of “Happy Birthday” for “Beck’s unborn child.”  Definitely worth a listen for Lips fans.  Podcast and tracklisting after the jump.
