Rock Insider + Web in Front Present…

Rock Insider and Web in Front have joined forces to to present an evening of rock, psych-pop and folk, all Rubicks Cube’d into one show on May 27 at the Silverlake Lounge.
The Flying Tourbillon Orchestra, as we have written, weaves “together a string of songs simultaneously nostalgic and modern, the cobwebbed glint of rustic folk crossbred with the sheen of aughties indie;” Vaudeville’s pop psychedelia is simultaneously lush and playful, exuberant and addictive; Sarah Woods‘ spare, spidery folk songs are raw, depth-charge blasts of singer-songwriter lyricism; and Jake Blanton’s churning indie acoustica will be joined by Wendy Wang of the Sweet Hurt. A phantasmagoria of L.A. indie, the night will also feature DJ sets by Young Animals.
Between the bands, the DJs, the collusion of Insider and Web, and my pre-birthday revelry (b-day is the day after), it’s going to rock.
