Podcast: Silversun Pickups live @ Birmingham Academy in England (6.30.09)

For fans of local hotshots the Silversun Pickups, the first week of November is going to be an early Christmas–the band will be bringing their fuzzbox guitar gigantism back to their hometown for a string of local shows: the L.A. 101 show at the Gibson Ampitheatre on November 3rd, a ‘KIA test-drive show’ at Siren Studios on November 8th, along with a ’surprise’ local show earlier that day for L.A.’s younger indie rock fans.
And for those fans who can’t make it to any of the three upcoming shows, we’re posting this podcast of a positively feral Silversun performance recorded this summer in England at the Birmingham Academy, in which the band detonates their new Swoon material with a ferocious abandon. Podcast and setlist are after the jump. For more information on the band and the recording of Swoon (review here), check out our Featured Artist interview with the band, conducted last May.
