Podcast: The Silversun Pickups live @ South by Southwest (3.16.06) / The Cold War Kids live @ La Cigale, Paris (2.12.07)

In light of the recent Airborne Toxic Event vs. Pitchfork Media web debate generated yesterday, and the labyrinthine comment wall offshoots on various sites in which people debated whether or not a band can come from Los Angeles, be unabashedly catchy, and not suck, Web in Front has elected to post a podcast which submits that, yes, there are non-noisepunk, artistically/commercially successful bands coming out of L.A. and no, they don’t sound like ’80s Sunset Strip hair metal.

Further, Pitchfork slammed both the Silversun Pickups and the Cold War Kids with resounding “mehs,” which is just another reason to enjoy these furious live sets.
